Posted this somewhere else--Being a "PRODUCER", I understand that most producers are part engineers and songwriters. I believe that someone is still titled as a producer and not just a beat-maker, if he leaves the engineer to do his own job. During the days of "MOTOWN" a lot of producers didn't even make the music, they left that part up to the "MUSICIANS". Great music is great music,no matter the style of choice.

I fully agree wit u mayn. as a matter of fact im strugglin with this problem myself.
people be askin me when you gonna put you beats on the internet
then I respond im not ready yet cuz I want the quality on its best level possible, but I dont know the process or tricks to do so yet. anyway my dream is to become a producer and not just a beatmaker so Ima be fully on my grind. good speaking at the video son keep up the good work.

did you record this vocal over the music or did you add the music after cause if you have this video without the music i will make a tutorial inside a tune just for shits and giggles

Your not talkin about a producer. That's an engineer. A producer gives input to the artist and molds the song before and after the artist got on them.

hold up.....a producer makes tracks, mixes, but they are also in the studio with the artist! you missed that part! its not just about mixing...you gotta be able to make a wack artist sound hot! Sound quality is not everything!!! I'll tell you why.....because not everyone has an engineer's ear...that is the purpose of an engineer....producers are more artistic (and they should be) than anything else!

yo, thats whats up, respect, did you go to school for audio engineering, if not where did you learn. i think im pretty dope when it comes to beatmakin, would you have any tips for mastering in Reason.

and also Producer stays with artist making the beat

i think some of what you say make sense, but i don't think you are to say, what the diffrence is between those two, and you said timba was ignorant?, You are clearly a rookie yourself
i get what your saying but all that take time as you grow and continue to learn
we didnt have "hands on" like you did i scaped
every dime your years just to get the equipment?dont diss everybody's music who's not on your level it doesnt happen overnight

I feel what you saying, but I wasnt dissing anyone at all. We want to encourage everyone to step up everything. I just came out of a interview with the producer duo THE RUNNERS and they same the same thing. It isnt about how much equipment you have, but more about konwning how to use what little equipment you have. But please dont think we want to diss anyone. Just encourage others to learn everything they can with what they have. Stay bless fam. Hits

to correct the difference of production versus beatmaking: beatmakers send in beats, drums etc., while producers are the last to touch the album or single. That's the single most difference.
some producers don't even make beats, they arrange, bring instrument sections, session players etc.
they work with songwriters, engineers or they engineer, but producers get the REAL money out there. beat makers do good but production is everything.
