If you have a cybernet chassis cb radio, york 863, rotel rcv 240, harrier cbx, fidelity2000 etc
Then this is a quick and easy way of getting rid of that annoying squelch operation that these rigs are so well known for, this is a quick step by step guide on how to do the mod.
once its done you will have a much smoother squelch operation with no loud pops or thuds each time someone breaks through the squelch.
There will be a small amount of background noise when the squelch is turned up but not very noticeable.
Most people that use these types of radios often have the squelch turned off due to this problem and have to put up with hearing white noise all the time or turn the squelch on and hear a thud/popping sound everytime a signal breaks through..
well here is a fairly straight forward cure
Ive done it on a harrier cbx but this will work on all ptbm134 cybernet chassis cb radios
