14 april 2009 texas congressman ron paul in his reply to barky o's speech on the economy, said that obama's policies are going to destroy the dollar. "this is going to be a bad deal and not help at all...[the president] was very explicit by saying that government shouldnt cut taxes and spending -- he wants to massively increase this spending, therefore, he's going to prolong [the recession]".

"everything he talks about is re inflating the bubble and buying up bad assets.... the depression was prolonged because of the intervention of hoover and roosevelt."

congressman paul says that it all is leading to socialism and economic fascism where the government and business are partners and when businesses get in trouble they love it because businesses get all the benefit's and the little guys are stuck paying for the bailouts.

  • When Ron Paul talks he sounds like a honest human not a machine...you don't get that with 99% of other politicians.

  • Ron Paul is what America needs... not what they want to hear.

  • There is however corporate and military fascisme in the USA as well. The US isn't far from being a police-state. Martial law is gonna be implemented within a few years, the whole economy is gonna be destroyed by design, and a lot of people will find themselves in FEMA-camps. This is being done by the same people behind 9/11 and the Global Warming hoax. The same ones pushing for Cap&Trade and a New World Order...

  • Peter Schiff is the Ron Paul's economic advisor. They are an American power duo in Austrian economics.

Not since Milton Friedman and Murray Rothbard have we had such eloquent American advocates of free market principles.

  • It's not an American problem, remember the rest of the world was enchanted by Obama as well. The problem is a human problem. Humans are prone to ignorance and vanity, and will vote for a politician that sound good and makes them feel good about themselves.

  • he said economic facism not military fascism

  • Regarding those billion dollar companies, I don't hear any of these DemoRATS or REPUGNANTcans saying: "We're not going to bail you out of your bad life planning!"

yes we can survive without those companies and in the long run, we would be MUCH better off without those corrupt, evil companies. Let the market cure the problem.

  • Americans should be pissed. Bush and Obama and so-called anti welfare America have up to 23 TRILLION in welfare to the very companies that caused this economic meltdown. Thus far, those hurt by it, the American people, haven't received ONE DIME in relief. Why is it okay to give welfare to unscrupulous, corrupt, government established billion dollar companies who made bad choices, but we can't give a dime to some poor family who is a victim of those companies bad choices?

  • I would agree with you that Ron Paul is one of the best politicians. However, I would be cautious of Alan Keyes because some of his ideas for our country are kind of scary. For example, he has said that we can't address the budget deficit until we address the moral deficit, which I think is wrong because the government should not try to be the moral police. He also doesn't support free trade.

  • if you put in context what he is doing to the economy and the dollar, yes it is fascism.

  • @tonygmilan7

Oh, you mean the Alan Keyes who effectively disowned his own daughter after she came out as a lesbian? The Alan Keyes who is the text-book case of 'sore loser'? The Alan Keyes who regularly engages in demagoguery? I believe that Ron Paul, despite my disagreements with him, is a generally good man, but Alan Keyes is a complete dirtbag.

  • Sounds like America.
