Bingo...that's a voice of reason. The people of NOLA and anyone angry with Katrina shouldn't be upset with the circumstances that caused it as much as the lackluster response of the federal government in its wake. It was disgusting how FEMA handled the situation
As a college freshman this past summer, a bunch of us went on a pre-orientation trip there to help with Habitat. The 9th ward is doing much better, but there is still a whole bunch of work to do, not only architecturally, but also in the community.

In Feb 2007, I volunteered for a few weeks in the 9th ward and helped with cleanup.
Can someone please tell me how the condition of the 9th Ward is today?
