i dont know whether it was during the compulsories or optionals but sometime during the 1992 olympic team final the chinese team was deducted 0.5 for ill-fitting leotards! that is absolutely ridiculous that's as much as a beam fall costed back then they placed fourth here just out of the medals and the 5 tenths wouldnt have been enough to secure the bronze but its still adding insult to injury absolutely ridiculous! thumbs up if you agree and if you dont belive me LOOK IT UP!! hehe

Well, I think that commentators made a big deal out of her mistake (which was more than a "slight wobble" but was a complete break in the skills) because they knew that she was virtuosic. She could have been the frontrunner, and that is why it is more surprising that she made a mistake than if someone who was merely mediocre had.

Thank you for posting this! I'd never seen Bo's Olympic Compulsory Beam before!
This routine scored a 9.800 which is subject to debate considering the inflated scoring that occurs in gymnastics especially in this format of team competition with different sessions. There are aspects of Yang Bo's gymnastics that are irreproachable and a virtuosity that mostly nobody compared to but when she made a slight wobble everybody was ready to attack...how ridiculous.
