PBR: Giratina & Mind Games (M)

This battle proves on how Magic Coat is an awesome addition as a move tutor in HG/SS, countering status problems has become alot easier, especially for Giratina, AKA Banshee.

Giratina (Banshee) spent most of this battle in a mind game stall war with the opponents Roserade. I had to try and think ahead and predict each move from the opponent, I was constantly thinking "is he going to substitute again? or is he going to sleep powder" and other thoughts similar to that through this match. Banshee has a weird EV spread, since all EVs are in physical defense and special attack with a modest nature, making him a physical wall/special sweeper. Haban berry might seem gimmicky, but it allows Banshee to have a chance to survive Outrage/Draco Meteor from all those dragons out there.

Giratina has been the star of the show in many battles when it comes to taking physical hits, dealing good damage from its attacks, or irratating the opponent by bouncing back status problems. Believe me, it is fun to bounce back status problems

My Giratina knows Dark Pulse. It seemed iek a good idea but now i'm not so sure...

Avoid Dark Pulse at all costs, since its a dark type move. You want to stick with Ghost type moves, since they cover the same types super effectively as Dark type moves, Plus Giratina is a ghost type, making ghost moves 1.5x stronger due to being the same type

I think it's the funniest thing when you use magic coat on a Dark Void Darkrai. I can imagine what the opponent says: What in the world. But sometimes those people disconnect after that turn which makes me laugh even harder. :)

I don't have a problem with Ubers - I just don't like people using them without any strategy.

Your Giratina's very good - I use an offensive Calm Mind set on mine

I love giratina. I run him on my ubers team and he's the most successful member.

It's an end match staller that has Will-o-wisp, calm mind, dragonbreath(he's quite slow, paralysis helps) and rest. All EVs were invested into hp, defense and a few in sp.att.

I usually only use him in singles, but he could hold off a groudon and lugia at the same time if he's the only one left.
