This video shows how to use the inequal application on the TI84 Plus or TI 84 Plus Silver Edition graphing calculators to graph systems of linear inequalities. There is also a demonstration on how an x= or x is greater than, etc, relation can be graphed.

Here is the link to my other video that shows how to download the Inequal application from TI in case you have lost it or in case you have a TI83 or TI83 Plus calculator that doesn't have Inequal as a standard application. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BsHNcb9M-5k

  • helpful, but how can we do if we have 3 inequalities

  • Just go down to y3 and enter the next inequality. For instance on the system in the video, at about 2:40, you could go back and add x is less than 4. You have to go up to the x equals and the area to the left of x equals 2 is shaded and it leaves you with a little triangle that satisfies all 3 inequalities. If you enter x is less than negative one along with the others, you will have no solutions satisfying all 3 inequalities.

    Thanks for viewing and commenting.

  • THANK YOU!!!!

  • thank you for this video

  • thank you very much it helps alot

  • Hi Thank you for videos, children would love math if we had more teachers like you!

I am just learning to use my TI 84 plus and was wondering how to solve equations with (-2,-6) and (-7,-3) to write in standard form. Also (-3, -7) and parallel to - 5x +2y=6 to write in x=a, y = b or y = mx + b. THANK YOU :)

  • thank you

  • Helpful and to the point.
