The reality for most families expecting or parenting triplets, quadruplets, quintuplets, sextuplets, and more is often very different than what many people expect based on media stories and long-standing myths about multiples. These families often face a series of challenges, sometimes beginning even before they know they are expecting mutliples. MOST, a national profit organization providing support to multiple birth families through programs that inform and reassure parents, made this slide show to help educate everyone about the special challenges and needs faced by families of triplets, quadruplets, quintuplets, sextuplets and more. We hope you enjoy this touching video full of beautiful photos from just a small sampling of the familes MOST has supported over the past 20 years.

  • Most multiples of 3 or more are due to fertility treatments. They knew the risks, so they should raise their own kids without handouts.

  • Thank you for the comment. The purpose of this video was to cut through much of the misinformation and assumptions made related to multiples. At MOST, we believe that by providing the type of support we offer (not financial, but rather emotional and informational), multiple birth families will be able to develop the skills they need to be successful parents and far fewer will need the type of financial assistance to which you refer.

  • These programs, (research studies and statistics on multiples, 100+ online FAQs, advice from experts, a monthly email newsletter, policy statements to educate families and professionals, etc.), are only possible through donations from individuals, groups and a few project grants. Anyone interested in learning more about MOST and our programs can visit our About MOST page or find us on GuideStar.

  • Thank you for your comment. Our organization does have a membership option for families who want to receive our print publication SUPERTWINS, attend social events or participate on our moderated private forums, and member dues are needed to cover the costs associated with these activities. However, as a non-profit, MOST works on many projects to advocate for quality prenatal care, promote healthy deliveries, and supply information to all multiple birth families, the public and professionals.

  • I'm a little confused and a bit angry. I went to your website and found that I had to pay to be a member of a nonprofit? What help is provided to families of multiples who can not afford to pay for the membership? I clicked on the link to what your "donations" are used for and it was very vague. I'm a mother expecting "naturally conceived" triplets, and I do not think it is right that you are making money off from multiples families. Please, by all means, clarify if I am wrong! ^_^
