they look worn out i just replace the sandls then just get a strap for it

you are belittling a tribe that runs for over 100 miles a day with ease in a pair of these...and when they try modern shoes, it caused them to have problems..have faith in the body man..it was engineered perfectly.

I love these sandals and want a pair...but they are so expensive!
I wish they had a thinner version of the original luna...like the Equus but with just normal leather for the top.
-
I love it! But where do you get the elastic leather for the sandals?

I was also that skeptical about fore foot running. I saw one of my officer running barefooted and thought he was crazy. There is a reason people do what they do. I just found out the reason when I gave fore foot running a try. I have stick to fore foot running ever since. Instead of asking how it feels, just do it and you will know how it feels. People may laugh at me, but I know something they don't and I smile back at them.

Looks cool and comfortable. Can't wait for mine to arrive.

You actually run in these? How ridiculous and sad. I have been running for 3 months (on doctor's orders to lose weight) and I can guarantee that the Asics Kinsei 4 is the best running shoe in the world. I can run faster and longer than ever before in my Kinsei 4. Why would you regress to running in a pair of sandals when there is far better technology out there? Totally ridiculous.

i love you BFT. you are a gentleman and a scholar. I adore you for standing up for the barefoot community. I myself am a huge fan. you were my favorite person in born to run.

Thank you for this video. Just received my Luna's today and the instructional video on their site is lacking but now you have enlightened me. Many thanks.

Are you barefoot Ted? Sound like him (no geese though?) I know this sounds redundant, but I can't stress the importance of having a very rigid strap for running steep & long uphill climbs and downhill descends; does this semi-elastic strap handle this well? Also do you find the thin leather layer on top of sole is more comfortable for running (had done the same to mine)? Any increased blistering?
Does the friction of the leather chafe your skin or rub you raw?

@proteanview - this are MUCHO more comfortable than any other laces I have tried...and I have tried them all...soft to the skin and comfortably snug.

those do seem like they'd be awesome! one question though, does the fact that they're elasticized make the sandals feel more "floppy" than they would if using the standard laces?

@imbored888 - NO FLOPPY - these are the snuggest, least floppy laces I have ever worn. A dream.
