My father is a police officer and was there that day. He luckily made it out alive. His and everyone else's bravery and sacrifice showed me what it means to be an American. Now that I am finally 19, I'm in the process of joining the Air Force so that I can serve this country. I hope to be just like the people on this day and like the ones still fighting and make sure the American Spirit lives on. God Bless America and may the souls lost on that day rest in peace.

@Avalon400 What a load of shit. Germany was bombed to stop the Nazi war machine. Everyone and his dog was bombing Germans and Japanese in WW2 cause their fascists started a war. If Hiroshima and Nagasaki weren't nuked, Japan was gonna drag the war on till the last man, woman and child. The aborted Operation Downfall was projected to cost a million Allied soldiers' lives. America never started any wars in the Middle East except give Israel the means to defend itself and defended Kuwait.
