One of the houses in here, according to someone who grew up in the house, was just off the Grand Marais/Huron Church corner. I say 'was' because it came down today (8/7/10) for the W-E Parkway. I'm guessing either the 1st house in this Part or the one at 4:00 in Part 5.

I wonder why the completed bridge isn't shown?

No one knows exactly why the footage of these houses being built is on the footage. These are all homes being built in the late '20s in what was called Huron Divisions, ie. "South Windsor". The big school being built is St. Mary's Academy (now long gone).

Can't explain. The film goes from a half-built Ambassador bridge to construction of a new subdivision in South Windsor then just ends. From what I have been told, this film was not commissioned by the bridge owners at the time and no one knows why it was made or for whom. It was found in an attic in a Detroit home and turned over to the Windsor Archives.
