Baseball Factory Top Prospect: Brandon Wind ('11) | C/RHP | Indy, IN

Brandon is a 2-way switch hitting C/RHP with a tall, lean, athletic build. As a catcher, he has easy, smooth actions and an athletic approach to the position. He arm shows accuracy and carry and he consistently throws through the bag. His lower half has some spring to it, both in lateral blocking movements and his catch and release to 2B. Offensively, Brandon gets to a well balanced hitting position from both the left and right side. He looks to get a little more extension and lower half strength when hitting from the right side. Overall, he is a very projectable hitter from both sides. On the mound, he has loose arm action, good extension and a rhythmic delivery that will allow him to increase his velocity at a steady pace as he gets stronger. He has a very good feel for his change up. His curveball has hard break at times and when it become more consistent, it will be a very good pitch for him. Overall, he has strong upside offensively, behind the plate and on the mound.
