A GOP dominated Washington will fail if it prevails in 2012. Ask the Democrats in 2008. Americans don't like one-party rule period. If Democrats lose the White House in 2012, then they will regain the Congress in 2014.

The major reason people like you feel like that is because unemployment is 9% and you are in the "I told you so mode" which is so convenient. You know what? Ok in that situation, Reagan benefited from Democrats being in control of Congress. The economy got stronger under Reagan and no one wants to give credit to Tip O'Neil. Yes I agree that Democrats spent too much in 2006-2008, but George W. Bush had the veto pen and didn't veto any spending bill sent to his desk. It is interesting that Republicans talk about too many regulations under Obama is causing joblessness. Deregulation was strong and we went into a deep recession.

@gareof And it's been the Republican Failed economics Policies that lead to this mess, The same GOP economics that lead us into the great Depression. And trickle down economics or tax cuts for ultra wealthy don't create Jobs. Also we had a surplus under Bill Clinton and A strong economy. Republicans tried to take credit for that. Just as they clamied to be the party to keep us safe. We where attacked on 9/11 under their watch and also attacked economically under their watch time.

@MegaELECTRICEYE Democrats have been the majority for 46 of the last 60 years since 1950. The Senate has been controlled by the Democrats for about 40 of those 60 years. The Dems have controlled at least one or the other of the 2 branches over 50 of the 60 years. The Dems have controlled Senate & House since 2007 - Exactly the period of the current Economic collapse from an all time "high" in July 2007..of course they've had both houses & the WH since 2008 ...need I say more ?

@gareof From what periods of time are you talking about? If you go back from 1980-to the present. I would say Republican has held that mojority most of those time periods. This JOB Congress ran on Jobs because Obama was not creating them. SO where are they do we still hold all blame on Obama?
