I'd guess the 'lady pushing a trolley' one was for daytime programming?

Ulster's model ident was infact made from melted down bits of 16mm film that hit the cutting room floor and were of no further use, so somewhere in that silvery telly-on-a-stick images of Gerry Adams and Ian Paisley have melted together in a sickening combination of irate ranting and calm thinly-veiled threats.

Thank goodness they didn't adopt the 1989 generic look! Can you imagine the IRA bombing Havelock House (UTV HQ) all because Ulster adopted the ITV look at the time!

That 1988-1993 version of the oscilloscope never made the air at 3am in the morning from what I can remember; we had the Granada black cat at that time of night back then.
