Captain Forever: 80 minutes of gameplay in a 10 minute video!

The only thing I hate about this game is when I'm still a Charlie putting my ship together and I see a line of purple headed right at me.

In the game, when the enemy is it's red capsule, it can't shoot. Someone actually made the ship, and you can find it online.

@theMeteorgames That is a really good idea, however, the only thing I find wrong with that is that when you're down to the basic red square, you're still allowed to shoot bullets. Eventually they would weaken the square around them and break it..

2:20 sums up pretty much the only thing I don't like about this game, the way that you have clearly won a fight, but someone comes in from behind and doesn't let you build. this happens after a serious combat, if a segment of a ship gets blown off I can't find the time to repair before someone flies in to blow me up.

If you make a small box-like structure at the front, you can weaken a ship to it's basic block (the red thing) and trap it, adding blocks to keep it from escaping. Make two, and after trapping two enemy (since the game only lets you fight three ships at a time) you will only have to fight one ship at a time.

I suck at this game... Which is sad cause I really love the idea of it. I reackon there needs to be some sort of save mode.

I find the most effective and quick way of beating the basic game is to keep your ship as a line (that is: girders protruding out the sides). Place engines on the edges first (to give your ship great turning) then add cannons to the front. If you run out of space, add another girder to either side. Maneuverability trumps everything else in that game.. in a sense it kinda breaks it. Since there's not enough time to rebuild you may often have to resort to this design anyway.

Put your thrusters further out from your center of gravity. It makes them turn faster.
