Baldwin, Michigan, September 28th, 2006. The best run in years produced this bed with at least a dozen fish swarming around upstream from a deep hole. At the end a 25 pounder appears.

  • SSW of Baldwin a mile or two. This bed is just up from one of the deepest bends in the PM that contains a 10 foot deep hole. But this kind of spawning is in the whole flies only section of river for dozens of miles. A thousand fish can be seen in one day. That's why they call it the Crown Jewel of the Mighty PM and give it the highest level of protection in Michigan.
