The Chaser McDonalds Upsell

I think I know the sentiment that you're sharing, but I worked in McDonald's management for 19 years or so. Judging from my experience she was trying to get your order right. I wasn't able to hear her nearly as well as I was able to hear you. Were you trying to communicate yourself effectively? If not, what effect did that have on the "new girl" that you were talking to? When I left McDonald's the rule for suggestive selling was, "Suggest sell once. Not twice." My thought to you: "Be nice."

I know how irritating upselling can be, believe me. But from someone who works at McDonalds, I don't think what they did there was upselling, they were merely confirming. Lots of times someone will ask me for a Big Mac and mean the meal. We have to clarify. They weren't trying to sell you more, they were just trying to get your order right.

I did this with about 5 friends about 15 years ago, cost about $60 back then
