The full-time element of the British Army has also been referred to as the Regular Army since the creation of the reservist Territorial Army in 1908. The British Army is deployed in many of the world's war zones as part of both Expeditionary Forces and in United Nations Peacekeeping forces.

In contrast to the Royal Navy, Royal Marines and Royal Air Force, the British Army does not include "Royal" in its title, however many of its constituent Regiments and Corps are styled Royal.

USMC training is 13 weeks and there 'supposed' to be 'elite' soldiers, US army basic training is 9 weeks. Basic training for UK Infantry is 26 weeks. Even non teeth arms units train for a minimum of 14 weeks. Royal Marine Commandos train for 6 months.

You Americans are so far up your own asses, I've worked with the US army and they are a shambles with no discipline, they hardly know what there doing in the field. To call them 'soldiers' or to even compare them to us is disrespectful.

Well, i think that Canadian normal infantry is trained better than the British Army, due to their population, meaning they can expend more trainers to smaller groups, if you know what i mean. Canada is 50% smaller in population than England. Also, i think our military over in Canada might be slightly better (not sure, we have more money is the only reason i assume things like that). Of course, no one can match the special tier british soldier (SAS and even the RMCs)
