@Hufflepuff: In the circles we gravitated toward at the time, anyone would have found out about Jim, sans Rothchild.
Jim seemingly did alright with LA Woman without Paul. Knew about musicians word of mouth, as the music that appealed to me was strictly underground. Jim was the Doors to me; as Ray, Robby and John weren't really poets in my world. As for those things in life that seemingly go unappreciated, there's always the worthy few that know and that's all that matters. It's all good.

@sekhmetraptah The same thing goes for theatre and poetry. Some of the best things in life go unappreciated for what they mean to us, even if we don't know they exist.
But in the end I'm glad the Doors were finally made famous by Rothchild. Otherwise we would have seen one of the greatest poets and singers of the generation slip into obscurity.
