This is the first pocket colour tv in the world and the first colour LCD Television in the world. Seiko asked its research arm 'Epson' to design a colour pocket tv using LCD, but such an LCD did not exist, so they had to invent it. A prototype was produced in Nov 1983 and two versions were manufactured and launched in Aug 1984. Less of the Epson sets were made and are more rare today than the Seiko version.
Lets see it in action! I got a Casio from around 1990. Originally the manufacturer didn't want it to have video input (the more expensive model had of course). One day by accident (powered by lab power supply antenna touched something it shouldn't) I burned the internal fuse. Disassembled it to solder in a new one and discovered everything for a video input was there even the connector. There was just a plug in the hole(!) :D

@HifiCentret I had uploaded the Seiko version first which can be seen on and with picture, and as both are the exactly the same except for casing style, I thought I would avoid wasting viewers time. Best regards
