Giant specs bikes differently in different country's... in Canada this is an X2... in 2012 there is no X2 in Canada. I am deciding between an X2 and a Trek Fuel EX8...

My Trance X came with stock brake hoses that were too short so I changed them. The hoses should have enough slack out for a 150-180 degrees handlebar turn.

Some people don't like the cable routing but I do. I just don't like cables and hoses running under the downtube like on the Reign X.
The Trance X's cable routing works great if you have: 1) Cable spreaders to keep the brake hose and derailleur cable apart and away from the shock. 2) Brake hose and derailleur cable that are neither too short nor too long. Too short and the hose/cable will rub against the shock canister; too long and they will hit the downtube when the shock compresses.
