  • Over 40 years old and truer today than when it was written. What I really miss about the 1960/1970's is the message in the music or lack of it today.

  • @DriftIAm so true buddy!!

  • as I have bean informed by credible services . There has never been a documented cas where an ostrige has buried his head in the sand. (thats what the FBI said )?

  • You put Mr. Obama up with "You're free to speak your mind my friend---" But where is Fox Propaganda and Rush Limbaugh? Where is Glenn Beck and Sheriff Joe? Hypocrisy much? You hate n*****s, but love Nazis??!!!

  • Get Involved politically today & "YOU" can make a difference. "Occupy Wall Street". I still have this album from 1968.

  • This song along with "The Pusher" are still relevent today !

  • SADLY, most people nowadays have only heard the two mindlessly overplayed 'hits', Magic Carpet Ride and Born To Be Wild. They have missed it all. This is beer guzzling college dorm music from the good old days of the late 60s.

  • Same today as it was then can we answer his questions now?????

  • Good slide show, better than just looking at the album cover. Thanks. As for the song, what a classic.

  • John Kay a very original singer no one cannot copy him. I grew up with the irreverence of 60s I was 8 years old I knew who really were STEPPENWOLF and I feel proud of it because many heavy metal kids of the 80s with all uniforms were pretty stupid silly for me.
