Penn State: A (Some) People's University

Penn State's rising tuition costs are antithetical to its mission as a land grant University. The rising costs of tuition are effectively shutting out the public that Penn State is supposed to be educating.

If you are so concerned about the cost of education you should enroll in a less expensive school. Everyone needs to stop acting like there is no choice when there are 14 universities in the The Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) not to mention all of the community colleges across the state who have much lower tuition rates. You should have realized what you were getting into when you enrolled here. As for aid, I think all aid should be merit based regardless of class/race

what you speak is true..im only going to be a sophomore next year at PSU and tuition is probably going to increase even in a horrible economic climate..ive also heard Spanier has intentions of privatization of PSU as much as possible
