Speedventures California Speedway Interior Road Course 5/3/8

Nick and Ray going at it.

I'm not sure of the specs, but off the top of my head...

Nick: 2007 S2000, Hondata reflash, Toda headers, Hondata IMG, AEM V2 CAI, comptech dual exhaust, widened fenders, cf trunk, Spoon Showa Coilovers, Bridge. RE-01Rs

Ray: Stripped integra, cage?, Civic Type-R pistons, LS block, GS-R? head, increased compression ratio

Me: Bone stock except for Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star Specs

  • I doubt he is running a GSR head on it with CTR pistons. His compression ratio would be like 13:1. Maybe running a B16 head with would allow 12:1 or 12:5. One of the two, I can't remember right off but I use to own a ED hatch with ls block, B16 head, and all OEM internals such as CTR pistons, Type R intake came/CTR exhaust cam, GSRoil pump, etc.

  • Just quoting the man himself. He did say his compression ratio was pretty high. Cal speedway sells 100 octane on site, so I don't think it'd be too much of an issue. Although, his lost motion assembly failed later that day. I'm not familiar enough with that to know if that would be related or not, though.

  • Definitely held your own against them, especially considering you stock. How do you like the Dunlop Z1 *Specs?

  • I like them a lot, definitely recommend them. I'd say they're on par with the Bridgestone RE01R's for a fraction of the price. They are loud on the road though, and if you drive pretty aggressive, they probably will only hold out for a year.

  • i have spoon coilovers with showa springs as well. Were you settings 4/4 for F/R adjustments? or fully 5/5 all the way? Thanks.

  • I'm the owner of the integra, at the time was running B18B1 LS block, 81.5mm stock sleeves with OEM Honda PCT pistons (CTR pistons). The head is 98 GSR (yes it is higher compression than a b16). Fully tuned on 91 oct by Church Automotive. Did not run anything more than 91 octane. This setup had really high compression but with a great tune, i didn't have any detonation or anything.

Thanks for sharing moogleii...I miss having an s2k so i'm thinking of selling my integra :(

  • I mean, I wasn't calling you liar. He might very well be running a GSR head but he would have no choice but to run race gas. Still a good race none the less.

  • Nice driving bud

  • Ah, nice of you to catch both my spinouts, Ron! :banghead:

You say "Nick vs Ray", but you were right there with them the whole time!

    Fun day! :hello:

  • Good job! That looked like fun.
