  • Im lucky to find other people who like to compose in bachs style. One thing I have to mention.

If you use the dubble-dominant (A-major in gm) you have to answer the theme in transposing it a 4 not a 5 up, because the "dubble-dubble-dominant" was not really allowed in baroque style. And beginning the answer is in the tonica of the the first placement of the theme. so in 11 you should use the g in the left hand to bring the first bar into tonality of g, not d.

    Hope this is usefull ^^

  • @GumbasCorner

You're right, that answers like that are seldom in baroque fugues, but we can find it in Bach's works - for example - in e minor fugues in booth wtc books.

  • whi don't you record them with you playing? :D

  • @Erikk91

I don't have time to practise my own works ;) I'd like better to compose something NEW. But maybe someday I'll put one piece with my personal interpretation.

  • Instead of having a bunch of passive theory geeks pick this apart, the most productive, educational and humbling experience for all is to have everybody compose their "improvements"....and post then on You Tube.

  • This is very disjointed. You should study composers' scores more and in more detail. I suggest Bach (of course), Corelli trio sonatas, Vivaldi concerti (those 2 Italians are especially important for their harmonic outlines of their works), Pachelbel's organ works, Kuhnau, and Buxtehude

  • Good. Bach would be proud of you! ;)

  • wonderful. Thank you so much.

  • I liked the fugue very much!

  • Beautiful creation, realy "Bach product". Bravo! Probably recorded in slow pace, and because some of the nuances are lost.
