this is a production 1g-gte. it is actually a cylinder head design from Yamaha. direct acting valve train from Japanese motorbikes that cleaned up the race circuit in the 60's. Also the engine sports geometry from bikes too and adapted stroke to make torque etc. but its a cross breed made by Toyota. At that time JUNK Gm,Ford,Chrysler could not match that in production and metallurgy quality. pushrod shit and cyinder wear cast junk.

some 86-92 supras came with this engine, chassis code ga70, 1g-gte is a 2.0l ct-12 twin turbo

thats one old supra engine to be a 1g-gte the 1g is from the mk1 way back then people started doing the turbo on it later on to give it a little more power then it had (which wasnt a whole lot).

thats not a supra engine. That is a 1G-GTE, the Supras had the 7M-GTE (3.0) and the 2JZ-GTE (3.0) and the 1JZ-GTE (2.5)
