The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is the Great American Novel. And Mickey Rooney is the great screen Huck Finn, the high-spirited heart of this story of Huck, a boy running from sivilization, and Jim (Rex Ingram), a man running from slavery. Together, they raft down the Mississippi into breathtaking adventure, pratfalling comedy and a soaring quest for liberty. Your favorite Huckleberry moments are here: skipping school to go fishin', escaping from his vicious Pap, meeting Jim on Jackson Island, donning a dress and bonnet to sneak into town, sharing the raft with comic conmen (veteran actors Walter Connolly and William Frawley) who call themselves the King and the Duke. Come aboard if'n you have a yen for "borrowed" dinner fixin's...and freedom!

  • LOL my name is warner

  • I'm not Neil Finn!

  • Oh my gosh Huckleberry Fin!!!! I wish I wouldn't know Neil Finn.

  • This is a really pretty good movie adaptation of a GREAT novel...

...but this trailer does neither of them justice.

    This trailer sucks.

  • Even from this trailer, it's obvious that they reworked the story and injected some of their own thoughts. Mark Twain's book never has Huck arguing against slavery nor asking for Jim's freedom. Jim is freed in the will of the widow. Huck is not Juliet. The King plays Juliet. I could go on and on.

  • MICKEY ROONEY WAS SO DAM GOOD

  • I loved this movie as a kid. I wish I could find it now.

  • i love this book

  • Freedom is what it's about. This may be the best Huck Finn on film we'll get in our lifetime, and Mickey Rooney was and remains a genius. But, why should he be asking for the freedom of his friend? A request that should have never been necessary, or even contemplated?

I know. But I think part of Mark Twain knew it would take time, and the other part knew there there should be no permission required from others.
