Thank you for posting. "proSpiritofTruth" your words are true. My words seem so inadequate.

@AngelicaTross It was surely before 1925 but perhaps it might have been "produced" or "engraved" by the piano roll company after this death , which would explain the strange date. I dunno... :)

@rnmmrn I don't think so......

WOW....I am so impressed by his playing, I am almost out of words...
This is one of the few times when I believe it IT THE BEST interpretation of a work! Oh how we would probably argue if we heard BEETHOVEN's own interpretations today. With styles changing, coming and going. Would we be able to LOVE Ludwig's own way with his pieces? (Oh, well...a question of the ages...)

What a feat it would have been to hear Busoni and Liszt play four-hand piano!!

@lst9162 Busoni was one of the greastest pianist in history!

Busoni's two strengths which puts him in a class of his own is that he not only has the best conception of how Bach should be played but like Horowitz and to a degree Michelangeli, they know how to bring the most sound out of a piano so that their tone is the eqivalent to a Stradivarius our Guernarius violin played by a violinist worthy of the craftsmanship and knowledge from counteless trial and error experiments that they put in.
