Stranded In New York City!!! (6.15.11)

We started our epic trip to Ireland on a great foot with a flawless flight out of Orlando to New York JFK. When we got there we found out that our plane had been delayed because the plane had a broken windshield! most likely from a goose or some other bird type animal! So we the airline gave us a hotel to stay in and get some work done. but you know me! there is a huge city so close, why wouldnt i go exploring! and we needed to convert some money into Euro's anyway! so we headed into downtown New York City! It was crazy! we went to macy's and saw the wooden escalator, we saw broadway and 42 street! then we went and saw times square! it was amazing! i wish we could have seen it at night! im sure its amazing!!! then we headed back on the good ol new york public transit! it was quite an experience!

I'm sure you've discovered this by now, but not only do you get less euro's to your dollars, but everything's a lot more expensive in the UK and Ireland compared to... EVERYWHERE!
