CO2 doesn't do anything to the board. If your gun uses an air valve style solenoid opposed to a sear tripping pancake solenoid that's where CO2 can get you into trouble.
Nothing gets frozen, it simply bypasses your regulators in a liquid state and expands in your solenoid (pressure spike) blowing the seals.
In theory a properly assembled anti-siphon CO2 tank will work perfectly fine on ANY gun, the real problem is user error. :)
