My husband who is a videographer, caught this building collapse. Shot May 5, 1997 at 1016 Avenue Of The Americas in midtown Manhattan. It was a 6 alarm fire which suspended the F&D subway lines. The building was a 5 story brick building and the fire started in the basement of "Make 10" store which sold shoes. Although the collapse was a surprise, no one was hurt.

HIs footage was featured on "Destroyed In Seconds" September, 2009!

  • Lol thats going to get you an Oscar

  • are you freaks thinking Bush planned this

  • @FSMLosst Yup; it looked just like the collapse of WTC7...what's wrong with those people?

  • after the collapse their probably like.....well fire is out.

  • when u keeps spraying water all over that the wood and sheetrock get ruined

  • gone in seconds or gone in 114 years.

  • I bet that firefighter is thinking, "Oh, shit, what have I done?"

  • That water has a lot of pressure too. The pressure from the water could have knocked some of it down, which was already weakened from the fire. That more than likely is what it was.

  • So cool!!!

  • I can just hear the truthers now: "But but, but fire can't destroy a building!"
