Presenting the scuttled wreck of HMVS Cerberus at Black Rock in Melbourne, Australia.
ADDITIONAL INFO:
Launched in England in 1868, the ship was commissioned in 1870 to protect the Australian colony of Victoria. It was named HMVS (Her Majesty's Victorian Ship) Cerberus after the 3-headed dog that protects Hades in Greek mythology. The vessel was the first 'ironclad' warship in the British Navy to be driven solely by steam power. It sported two turrets with two guns in each, and patrolled the water of Port Phillip. After federation in 1901, the ship was incorporated into the Commonwealth Naval Force and then into the Royal Australian Navy in 1911. It was renamed HMAS Platypus II in 1921, and supported Australia's J-Class submarines as a depot ship. In 1926, it was purchased and scuttled by municipal authorities for use as a breakwater. Today, it is extensively corroded, but is accessible to divers. It is also viewable from Black Rock Pier and the cliffs that overlook Half-Moon Bay. The ship's anchor has been preserved and is located at HMAS Cerberus naval base, while its turret guns are still with the vessel.

@celloprofundo The buildings are a yacht club, life saving club, boat hire, café, restaurant and a pier. The sub was sunk as a breakwater in 1926, and rests on sand in about 4 - 5 metres of water. The music is 'Under the Ocean' by Musicshake. More information about the sub is available in the video description, and via the included links. : )

@celloprofundo The body of water is Port Phillip. The entrance to Port Phillip is 3.5 km (2.17 mi) wide, but the coastline is about 264 km (164 mi) long and it covers an area of 1,930 square kilometres (1199 mi). At its deepest point, it is about 24 metres (78 ft), but over half of it is less than 8 metres (26 ft) deep. The most common fish are Flat-head, Whiting, Bream, Snapper, Gummy Shark, Squid and Garfish. Carp and other fish (freshwater) can be caught from the rivers that flow into it.

@celloprofundo A male Gummy Shark grows to about 1.5 metres (5 ft), while a female grows to about 1.75 metres (5.75 ft). The name stems from its plate like teeth, which it uses to crush its prey - shellfish, worms and other small fish. Fish & chip shops here in Australia often fry and sell fillets of it as 'flake', and it tastes very nice. In terms of a strange fish though, the Elephant Shark looks like something you'd find on an alien planet, and they can be caught at near-by Western Port. : )
