With the Superbowl less than 2 weeks away, Rabbi Ephraim Buchwald, Director of Jewish Treats' parent organization the National Jewish Outreach Program, discusses the close endings of the recent NFL playoff games and emphasizes what a difference a couple of yards or a couple of seconds can make in terms of our destinies. We don't have to be pro athletes to have similar experiences. If you're walking in the street and are missed by a speeding car by a couple inches, you'll know the feeling too. Our whole lives can sometimes be turned into turmoil. But on the other hand we also have good news too. So let's not take anything for granted. Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords who resigned from Congress this week, survived a gunshot wound that, if it were a millimeter away, would have killed her. In our prayers we say, "God renews with His goodness the acts of creation." Let's hope that everybody will be blessed with goodness and good news.
