ADDED 4/9/10: The "tradition" reference is clearly a reference to longtime chief meteorologist Harold Taft, who died not long before this was taped off TV; he was the first TV meteorologist west of the Mississippi and did forecasts for KXAS for nearly 42 years. Another "Toughest Standards in the Weather Business" spot, from the previous month, includes him alongside Finfrock, Chesner and Miller, even though his last broadcast for the station was Aug. 30, 1991.
