@Balle543 it could be a number of problems, could be that that part of the damper is loose, that the hammer is not jumping back after hitting the string and it's still touching it. the best thing i'd say to do, is take it apart, and check it out, don't be afraid to work on your own piano, thats what i did, i had an old nelson cable upright piano, it was destroyed basically playing wise, i took it apart, figured out what was wrong with each key, had some Gorrilla wood glue handy, and fixed it.

Hello Tom. I got this old Danemann piano.
When i push one of the keys.. its like it gets muted. so to get that key to reach "normal" volume i got to push it hard.. and that just destroy the playing..
Do you know what could be the problem? could you make a video for this? :) Thank you! You're great!

i have a 7mm socket that fits the peg- is that bad (instead of using the "hammer") to use that?
