  • for some reason mine stalls and goes into a nose dive random and it spins and i cant stop it, do you think its the plane or radio?

  • @rc18trocks

Can't really give you a good answer without more info. It could be one of several things, CG wrong, slipping control rod, bad servo, bad radio, bad receiver. All I can say is check over everything carefully, check the CG, tighten the control rod screws, check to make sure servos are working properly, check to make sure Tx/Rx are working properly and range is OK, and finally make sure your battery is good, giving out enough power.

  • I went and got 3 460 nanotech batteries, if i really like the way it flies i will think about getting 2 of the 850 nanotech batteries to increase the flight times, now i have an orange 6 channel rx what is your take on these rx's?

  • @mikedoucette66

I've had good luck with the OrangeRx's I've used (half a dozen or so). In this type of light weight plane, I take the case off and wrap it in plastic wrap to save about 5 grams. The 3S 850 nanotechs work great for sport flying but not for gliding in this plane, so your flight times will increase but not significantly. The fun factor will increase more, however, if you try some stunts, easily done in this agile, powerful plane. And always remember to check the CG.

  • Great Video :)

Now with your batteries most are recommending a 500-800 ish for the mah what flight time are you getting for the 460 and does the rhino bat come with minijst connectors?I'm also looking at getting the nanotech 850 what do you think about that battery the nanos are smaller....it get so confusing as to what to get :)

  • @mikedoucette66

Oh, and all the connectors on lipos under 1000 (but not including 1000) should work. Wanna glide? Get 3S 370 or 460 Nano-tech. Wanna go fast? Get 3S 850 Nano-tech. And remember to place the battery in the right place to keep CG correct, 40mm back from front of wing. If you wanna go fast, then a little more forward CG is OK, but don't go farther back.

  • @SteebunRoba alright thanks, i think it might be the receiver

  • @mikedoucette66

Mike, haven't really timed flights/checked batteries carefully since making video. But do some quick calculations from the video, you can clearly see, with lots of gliding, used only 64% (down to 3.88v) of 3S 360 battery with 7 minute flight, so easily get a 9 minute flight without taking battery down too low. So a 460 should be able to get a little longer flight (around 11 min.), but remember, the heavier you go, the less efficient it becomes. Want good glide? Light lipo best.

  • Any replacement that can be bought if this item is out of stock as it is right now?? Just broken my prop!

  • just got mine a few days ago! nice looking powered glider! going to use 800ma 2 cell and 800 ma 3 cell will see how it goes pretty soon now!
