Photographer asked to hand over camera to military police

During a small vigil outside Ft. Leavenworth for Bradley Manning on May 28, 2011, the military police approached us and asked one of us who was taking pictures to hand over his camera to determine if he had any pictures of "the gate". After he challenged them on what law made it illegal to take pictures from a public sidewalk, , they backed down and left us alone so we were free to continue with our vigil and sign-waving.

Thats my broskis in the glasses! A former Recon brother, served alongside me with honor and distinction. As for Manning. Noone made him join up. He chose to volunteer, and then went all catty wompus. I disagree with his choices of betraying national secrets to some weasel at wikileaks. and the courts martial system is rendering military justice to a uniform wearing individual. Meaning civilian court is NOT an option (to all you manning lovers out there saying he "deserves" a civilian trial).

My granfather is buried at Ft. Leavenworth, served from 1959-1980 in the US Army, did 4 tours in Vietnam. My grandma still lives there, love it there! summers are HOT!!

@nora8brian I actually have lived on military instillation's my whole life, so don't try and say shit if you haven't walked in my shoes. And yes it has happened many times dumb ass, we have had tons of bomb threats, we have had a cache of armaments found in a neighborhood near our base with plans to bomb and assault us, don't talk shit about what you don't know "sheep" please you would be the one in fetal position if anyone needed to be saved prick.
