Why do these guys ignore Jesus' words when he said that we will be judged based on our works??
Jesus said that works are more important than beliefs.

James was never talking to the un saved who are void of the Spirit to understand scripture.There is not any scripture for any man without the Spirit unless of course they are the elect.You can use proverbs etc for reason.But the scripture is not for the non elect ever .James can only write the divine ordained Word to those of the Spirit to respond.That is really bad theology that james is writting to depraved sinners to understand holiness

Ask a depraved sinner to repent, from a mind not one with God?.Mark was talking to the Jew under kingdom law.There is no such thing as a man born again who is not given the gift of repentance.How does one depraved repent from a sick mind.Repentance cannot blot sin that is man involved repentance.David is not the grace Gospel David was never given the Spirit permanently.Mark 1:15 is for Jews not the gospel of grace Jesus never preached the gospel of the Church in Mark's gospel

In light of these verses, and many others, I don't see how you can say repentance means anything else than turning away from sin and turning towards God: To confess and forsake our sin.
I was deceived into thinking I was saved until Ray Comfort, Bill Wiese and Paul Washer opened my eyes. I thought you only had to believe, and I was practicing a lot of habitual sin. I didn't read my Bible a lot either.
When I discovered I had been deceived, it literally felt like scales fell from my eyes.

"Neither give place to the devil. Let him that stole steal no more" (Eph. 4:27-28a).
Don't you have to deny many verses in order to believe in easy believism / free grace?
We have to look for what is true, not what we want to be true:
"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables." (2. Tim. 4:3-4).

"Even so every good tree brings forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree brings forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that brings not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits all of you shall know them." (Matt. 7:17-20).

I don't see how he took it out of context. The argument is about what repentance is.
Jesus said: "Go and sin no more".
"Let every one that names the name of Christ depart from iniquity." (2. Tim. 2:19).
Repentance is granted by God (2. Tim. 2:25). We can't do it by our own power.
Whoever is in Christ is a new creature, and has a new heart with new desires (2. Cor. 5:17, Ezek. 36:26-27).
