  • This is beautiful and true and sad. Truly. Truly and truly.

I don't get the 80's montage what so ever. Also, who knows whats coming we have no clue who our president is, even the people who voted for him, so we'll see hopefully the best!

I have no clue what the hell this video is trying to say except that you don't like bush.

  • What "80's" montage are you talking about? The 1780's? The 1880's? The 1980's? I can see a pattern emerging here, can you? Those who can not learn lessons from history are condemned to relive it. Who knew who Washington was? Who knew who Lincoln was?who knew who FDR or JFK were? More importantly, who knew who Nixon/Reagan/Bush MkI/Bush MkII were? BTW, do you mean that some people DO like Bush? Still? That's astonishing!

  • Sure will, you too.

  • Ok cool. Well take it easy.

  • Now it seems you may be taking my comments completely out of context! I'm sorry you don't understand it. All I've done is make a "video" for "Democracy", using still images. I thought that was self-evident. It was a project for a film-editing course I'm doing (what you would call a "class" I think). Like Leonard Cohen, I'm not an American, so I can take an outsider's perspective on modern US culture. Most of the world seem very happy the Bush debacle is finally over, along with many Americans.

  • Correction, 1980's, and the second montage should be changed to montages.

  • Woah woah fucking chill out dude. I was talking about 80's montage, because the 80's was known for having montage. I tryed to give a hopeful outlook on our knew democratic president. I said I have no clue what the hell this is trying to say except you don't like bush, I never said I fucking liked him. Jump to conclusion, and take my comment completely out of context. What the hell is your problem?

  • All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.

    Edmund Burke (1729 - 1797)

...Especially when it's in their financial interests to do so.

  • Martin Niemoller: "First they came for the Communists, - but I was not a communist so I did not speak out. Then they came for the Socialists and the Trade Unionists, - but I was neither, so I did not speak out. Then they came for the Jews, - but I was not a Jew so I did not speak out. And when they came for me, there was no one left to speak out for me.
