Oh, the wonderful Dolly Parton. This song is from a live album she recorded called "Heartsongs". Delightful album, filled with lots of her chestnuts (no pun intended). The song was originally titled "Appalachian Memories", but she changed the title to "Smoky Mountain Memories". One of her best ever.

You did a wonderful job here, well done. It is a fantastic song and really should have been a world wide hit. In reality, people only know a tiny percentage of Dolly Parton's music and songs. I have this album too and in it like in so many of her albums are some amazing songs. Keep up the good work, it's people like you who keep the flame buring.. Keep an eye out around october,True Blue (also in this album) is coming out in duet, I.Boulay (French.Canada) et Dolly (album called Grand Espaces )
