Stop by and take a tour of my shop. It's nothing fancy but I put out some real cool work. This is definitely my man cave, although I did not get the TV show to build it for me. Whether I'm building a cool ride, putting some custom colors on a guitar, or watching a hockey game, this is where I go to enjoy a cold one.

  • Pete - I love the utility of your garage! The counters look great and I like how the supports seem to allow maximum flexibility for storage beneath. What are the counters made of and can you give us an idea of how they are fastened to the wall and supported to provide enough horizontal strength?

  • Thanks so much. The counter frames are made of welded 1" square tube 0.062" wall with cross supports every 2'. That frame sits on another sq tube that goes down & rests on the concrete. Another sq tube is welded to meet the front of the frame at about a 30 deg angle. The entire assembly is bolted every 18" into studs with 3/8" x 3.5" lags, painted dark Ford blue. Tops are 1/8" galv steel bent 1" fronts. Couple screws needed to hold in place. I weigh 200 lbs & stand on them with no problem.

  • Thanks Pete, real sweet.

  • You know.....they use to make fun of me in high school calling me sweet Pete. Probably because I had the hottest car!

  • Inspirational for me man very very nice

  • Take my ideas and run with them.....make yours better! Thanks for watching....Peter

  • @CoolCarsHotGuitars Very nice - thanks for providing the specs!

  • Awesome

  • @CoolCarsHotGuitars I do all sorts of stuff, and yes, the welding shop is a separate deal, and even a still different area for the hatred, Grinding.!
