@seb2455 I like the part about eliminating the idiot factor as well as all those damn stakes! Hmm...I'd like to try this system just to learn more about it.
Interesting system but clearly the machines will be fully independent in operation in another ten years. Don't believe the liars who tell you about jobs in construction. That entire industry is becoming automated faster than most realize. In twenty years at the most, robotic workers will preform the majority of all trades. Like the industrial revolution destroyed guilds, so to will the technological revolution eliminate a majority of human labor. It's time to think about alternatives.
these systems as accurate as they may be are taking skilled jobs away from skilled tradesman. No longer will the truly good operators get the jobs because we can just hire idiots to "drive" the machines.
dude its the future its not much about the end product even tho it matter but its way more about saving Surveying cost and uniforming the information on a big job. No more arguying over that grade was right or wrong if there is a problem its on the information given at the beginning of the job
I agree with you mate. But i think that this system is for small to medium commercial projects in tight places where the bidding for a project is also very tight.
If you are working in the outback, or in a mine doing haul roads, you don't need this system. I think it is best for tight competitive jobs in the city etc... This system is tied in with job speccing and material purchase too.
You can compare Topcon's 3D machine control systems to those of Trimble, Leica and others on The Kellogg Report website.
