Anthony Frank Hawk (born May 12, 1968), better known as Tony Hawk, is an American professional skateboarder. Hawk gained significant fame for completing the first 900 as well as his licensed video game titles distributed by Activision. He is widely considered one of the most successful and influential pioneers of modern vertical skateboarding.[1]
Raised in San Diego, California, Hawk was described as being "hyperactive" as a child. His parents supported his skateboarding because it served as an outlet for his excessive energy, and as Hawk's skills developed, he became a professional skateboarder at age fourteen. In 1999, he became the first skater to land a 900 in competition. In 2002, he created the Boom Boom Huck Jam, an extreme sports competition in Las Vegas. Throughout his career, Hawk has made numerous appearances in films and other media, as well as his own series of video games. He has also been involved in various philanthropic activities, including collaborations with other athletes in the charity Athletes For Hope.

[edit]Early life

Hawk was born in San Diego, California, to a retired U.S. Navy officer, Frank Hawk, and his wife Nancy, a part-time business teacher. Hawk began skateboarding at age eight after his older brother Steve bought him a used skateboard and his father constructed a ramp in their backyard.[2][3] When Hawk was young, he was described as being "hyperactive,"[3] and his mother says that he was "so hard on himself and expected himself to do so many things."[1] One time, Tony struck out in baseball and was so distraught that he hid in a ravine and had to be "physically coaxed out" by his father. His frustration with himself was so harsh that his parents had him psychologically evaluated at school. The results were that Tony was "gifted," and school advisors recommended placing him in advanced classes.[1]
Hawk attended Jean Farb Middle School from 1980 to 1981, and recently went back there for the show "Homecoming" where he set up a ramp and did a demonstration.
He turned pro by the age of 14. He graduated from Torrey Pines High School in the North County Coastal area of San Diego, California. Tony Hawk also succeeded in all the tournament Frank Hawk had made.

  • Wow the video quality is AMAZING!

  • can you switch the lenses on the camera?

  • damn nice

  • @scaggzz well as I said, this video was done with vegas studio HD, I loved the way some of my vids turned out. the only other one I would recommend would be adobe premiere elements.

Vegas: professional straight up editing 50-60 bucks

Premiere Elements/after effect(anything by adobe) is basically a video version of photoshop 80-100bucks

both can render in full HD but seeing how you use photoshop, you might like premiere elements get use to it quicker.

  • @Jtother777 do u use hd studio? cause i was considering that and in canada for me its like 59$ i think idk :P but yea i need a good software that can render in 720p with good effects, and easier to use stuff :P

  • @scaggzz i would totally 100% recommend it, its Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD i think its around 80 bucks and you can do alot of stuff, try looking that exact one up on sonys website, you can get the trial for 30 day and you can learn how to use it. its even got green screen capabilities.

  • @Jtother777 yea lol i love the camera but i need a deace software i might buy sony vegas 9 would u recomend it? cause i really need to edit videos with .mov :P

  • @scaggzz also i just used a free trial of this from sony's website, i really do need to buy it, it make my videos look better, but it costs about 80bucks :p

  • @scaggzz well if you have windows vista home premium, or better (home basic won't work) or windows 7 home premium or better(again basic won't work) you can just download the free windows live pack which has windows live movie maker, its free for xp/vista/7 and if you have the home premiums or better they can import .mov...i thought pinnacle did, but if you want mov files to be imported you must also have quicktime installed on your computer.

  • @Jtother777 what softwares could i edit .mov files on (with dis camera)?
