@Dimitri0809 It is not a rip-off of star trek. I am a huge fan of both franchises. On Stargate, the team doesn't even get their own space ship until SEASON 7! Stargate is based on current day technology and politics and then eventually the team gets tech help from advanced aliens.

I think that by Episode 6 or 7 of the first season (can't remember) of SGU I was watching with my dad and fell asleep and looked over on the other sofa and dad was asleep. I never watched again. Too much like a bad rip of BSG.

SGA and SG1 were just empty episodes, SGU had an accual story. Every episode of SGU expanded the story! I liked SGU better, no doubt.

I can never understand these videos. SGU was comfortably the best of the three in my opinion. I realise that people like the action and humour of SG-1/SGA, but don't you think they were a little shallow by comparison? Atlantis especially. I mean, without McKay I'm not sure I could have made it though that show at all.

@Jallorn all they done was took Stargate in a new approach which i think was a good idea the writing was good yes i admit some episodes werent that good but most were good, they took it in a new direction

@dazlovescarter A fascinating response here. I'll admit not all of my comments have been entirely polite, though showing the fallibility of your opponent is a legitimate debate strategy, but I have most certainly been level headed this entire time. Also, nothing that I said remotely suggests that I dislike SGU because it's different from SG1 or SGA, all I said was that I didn't like the characters on SGU and that I felt the writing was bad. It takes more than formula to make a SG show.
