I'm impressed with Derek Sivers. CD Baby is a fantastic opportunity for indie artists. What is tiring are the e-mails & video's with vague "how to" tips but BUY the book. CD and find out! Seems most of the advice is directed at artists who have cash to spare. Also some of the examples I have heard are along the lines of a dream factory. No matter how good your music is you need financial backing to get the word out. Networking, I find, is mostly with other artists and not really creating sales.

Great video, going to watch more of your video's. Any advise or can you point in the children's music department. I'm on CD baby,MySpace,YouTube,Twitter,Facebook, Cafemom,have my own site but have not done any advertising ie google ads and the such, I think my stuff is good but people don't seem to be buying yet. I think my audiance may be preschool teachers, nurses, moms, grandma's. I'm still learning. I have a desire to promote healthy living and nursing to the next generation of kids. Dawn
