God, ughhh, it was broken down so kids could understand it, not lawyers douche. There's grey area everywhere, very rarely is there a right or wrong set straight up. You can use logic to justify anything. Essentially the most important one is to love god and love others more than yourself. (Do unto others as you would have do unto them) Because in the bible even, people were trying just as you are, to stretch the rules in their context to the limit.

Also please notice that neither 'Christ followers' nor Christians, are following the real ideology of Jesus.
The bibble was writen under Roman influences.
Jesus was a Jew, they consider God more of a passive force. While under influence of the Roman gods, Christianity got a God who 'looked' like a human.

Jews consider God to be a more passive force, but realize that Judaism today is distinctly different from Jesus' day. Also, no duh it is written under Roman influence. Rome was in control of a large portion of the world at that time. Do you think Poland was under influence of Germany during World War II? That doesn't invalidate arguments. The New Testament was written by Jews for the most part. The letter to the Hebrews shows great knowledge for the Hebrew faith (not Jewish).
