Rinker Hog Hunt Full Version

Due to popular demand I have uploaded the full version of a higher quality so the impact shot can be seen and the rest of the story is told. This is an archery hog hunt that I self-filmed in South Florida on some property owned by Rinker Concrete. It was ate up with hogs. They were everywhere on every hunt. The scary parts were the morning hunts walking to the stand in the dark. Everything came to life around you once the swamp buggie dropped you off and drove off into the blackness.

That was NOT a double lung shot. It was a liver shot at best. It's amazing how many hunters think the lungs on a pig are the same as a deer. Go to Texasboarsdotcom and click on Tactics and tips, then Hunting, then Kill Zone Anatomy to see a cut-away view of a REAL hog! Notice that the lungs do not extend very far behind the leg/shoulder! Don't take my word for it, look at the pictures!

I will have to pay closer attention to the next hog I harvest. The shot placement appeared a little back but would have hit the lungs on a deer. This hog ran 50-75 yards tops. This is also an old video shot about 2001 so my memory of the cleaning has faded. I reviewed the original video several times and compared the shot placement with your kill zone anatomy and it appears about 3" back from the shoulder near the lung/paunch area. Hog also did not make a sound when hit. Wounded hogs squeal.

Excellent video. It did look a little far back for lungs though.
