  • don't listen to this, rip specifically says to reset after every rep.

  • i'm not a power lifter. putting it down in a controlled way will reduce risk of injury.

  • whats this song called?

  • To help with form I always imagined that I was pushing the floor down, rather than pulling the bar..

    Worked for me....

  • You're supposed to reset. Good work, man. It's called a deadlift - you're lifting a dead weight. The weight isn't dead if all you're doing is tapping it on the ground.

  • Looks pretty solid to me.

  • the rhythm in your body needs to be smoother. try less weight.

  • this is the exact opposite of what is true. starting strength is not for powerlifting, hence the medium-grip, butt-down, stretch-reflexed bench press that's advocated, or the below-parallel, medium-stance squat, or the narrow-stance deadlift instead of the sumo

letting gravity take the bar down makes sense if you're a powerlifter (the negative doesn't count as long as you don't drop it) but taking it down slow makes sense if you strength train (the eccentric phase builds strength, too)

  • agree fully.

  • you need to stip your butt out higher I think because your knees are getting in the way, and the bar isn't going down straight, but it's has to go forward a bit to clear the knees... bad badd.

The bar should really go down and up in a straight line
