The answers to why we do a lot of stupid shit can often be found in evolution. If you are kept from understanding evolution you are kept from understanding yourself and everyone around you, and the world will always be confusing.

@tube09sssss It may be that nothing was ever made. The universe has a net mass/energy of zero. Essentially, nothing did come from nothing. You should do some more research before you try to go up against strong scientific theories.

good video as always ...I see some reference to Buddhism in the comments I have come across it and was unaware it was a "religion" as from what I have seen it has no "almighty being" and from the small amount of research I have done does not require "worship" just an ability to understand yourself and how you interact with the surrounding world ...but hey that's just me ! lol best wishes

@nate252 This cannot possibly be true, otherwise you would see the one "true" religion spring up everywhere in the world, people would know vast amounts of information that they could not have been told by an ordinary human being, and atheist cultures (e.g. Piraha tribes, also many forms of Buddhism) would not exist.

I dont think Phil was stating that there is giraffism. the point it is stupid to believe in god as it has just as much reality as a talking giraffe. The amout of religious people that takes this out of context is incredible but that is what religious people do. take EVERYTHING out of context

It's easy if you try once religion is gone from your head. Like thermodynamics it's obvious once you know it. I can't believe religion exists and be sane anymore, i have to assume everyone who claims to believe doesn't really or i can't respect them :(
