The elites have deep enough pockets to keep this bubble going for years, the Americans saw their housing prices sky rocket for many years until one day the gig was up, you couldn't repaint a house for 3 grand and call it 25,000 dollar value added anymore. I don't care if you read this comment 2 years from now and it hasn't gone bust, on a 30 yr mortgage they have plenty of time to pull the carpet. Look a how much money they're oozing from the Olympic Village Condo.

i was sh ocked to see what city planners have allowed recenty.are they on the developers payroll?this ugly mish mash of towers and leggo blocks.i was born and raised in Vancouver.the west end was planned well unlike the condo nightmare thrust on the citizens recently.i moved north to get away for awhile and will stay here but hope to get a place real cheap in VANCOUVER soon and it looks like Gordo is making this a reality for me.the thousands of unsold condos on mls is shocking.

Word to the wise: beware of the British Columbia condo. BC condo developers and realtors push them with the perfect sales pitches but they're often just junk. "Coffee shops nearby, long strolls and beautiful views" they say. Did they mention winter rains that will destroy the buildings?

The housing bubble is a land speculation bubble. The real estate for investment and profit game is a land speculation game because it is only the value of land, i.e. locations, that appreciates. Land value is 100% created by the community as a whole so when private individuals cash in on increased land values they get something for nothing. They will argue but it is the same argument as slave owners made a few years back. Pimp your Mother Earth and pay the price America. Google Henry George.
